This page lists all released versions of Traintastic, for future releases checkout the roadmap.

Version numbering

The releases of Traintastic are numbered major.minor.patch, where major.minor is the version and patch is a bug fix update.

Each version of Traintastic is also named after a well known city with at least one train station, starting with the letter A, then B, then C etc.

Traintastic 0.2 “Berlin” {#v0-2}

Traintastic 0.2 was released on February 26th, 2023.

Summery of the new features:

• WiThrottle support, use e.g. Engine Driver (Android), WiThrottle (iOS) to another WiThrottle compatible app to control a train
• LocoNet RailCOM (OPC_MULTI_SENSE) support
• Uhlenbrock LISSY support
• Clock, with multiplier (fastclock)
• LocoNet fastclock
• LocoNet LNCV programming
• Board:
  • Automatic signals
  • Rail decoupler tile
  • Link tile, for creating connections between boards
• Traintastic DIY interface support (enables the use of DIY hardware with Traintastic)
• Italian translation of the user interface
• Serial port selection
• Minor improvements and bug fixes

The current release is Traintastic 0.2.0, released on February 26th, 2023.

Traintastic 0.1 “Amsterdam” {#v0-1}

Traintastic 0.1 was released on June 23rd, 2022. This first release was focused on interface and command station support.

Supported interfaces/command stations:

• DCC++EX (DIY command station using Arduino and motor shield)
• ESU ECoS 1 and 2
• LDT HSI-88
• LocoNet (e.g. Uhlenbrock Intellibox, Digikeijs DR5000)
• XpressNet (e.g. Roco MultiMAUS)
• Z21

Supported throttles:

• WLanMAUS
• Z21 app

Supported (switch) board elements:

• Standard rail pieces: straight, curve, cross, bridge, tunnel and buffer stop.
• Turnouts: Left, right, 3-way, wye, single/double slip.
• Signals: two/three aspect
• Block, sensor and direction control
• Push button

The current release is Traintastic 0.1.1, released on August 5th, 2022. There will be no further releases of Traintastic 0.1.
